“Remember there’s no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end.”
– Scott Adams, American Cartoonist
Did you know:
One in four Americans will experience a mental illness at some point in their life. Mental illness affects us all. Odds are, you know someone who personally struggles with a mental health challenge that significantly impacts their relationships, work, education, or other important aspects of their life.
Only half of people experiencing a mental illness will even recognize they have one. Lack of awareness regarding the signs and symptoms of mental illness keeps people unwell and negatively impacts those we care about. Our professional educators teach individuals and organizations how to recognize when others may be struggling and offer effective strategies to support others when they are unwell.
Only one in three people living with a mental illness seeks help. Stigma is the number one reason people decline to seek help when they are struggling. Our advocates have personal lived experience with their own mental health challenges and use their unique journeys to instill hope and inspire others to take charge of their own recovery.
By donating to NorCal MHA, you are contributing to a good cause that supports others when they are most vulnerable, and by doing so, helps to improve the communities we serve and society at large.
All proceeds contributed will be donated through the “Network for Good” channel.
